October 2016 - Present Praxair/Linde Inc - Logistics Planner

·         Responsible for distribution planning, system planning, and the execution of these plans; data management and correction of corrupt data and efficiency analysis of scheduled plans.

·         Develops a schedule for daily distribution of products to customers insuring 100% supply reliability at lowest possible cost

In 29 years of active service I've served successfully in a number of positions culminating in serving as a Company First Sergeant or Senior Adviser for over 8 years.

First Sergeant July 2008 - Present

·         Senior adviser, trainer, mentor, and personnel manager for organizations of 40 - 110 personnel

·         Senior non-commissioned officer for a company sized unit responsible for the success of all mission support functions including human resources, safety and security, operations, training, budget, procurement and logistics consistently monitoring and evaluating support functions for accurate and efficient delivery and performance

·         Counseled Soldiers about career progression, legal issues, financial issues, and job performance

·         Regularly advised section staff on support processes, unit policy and regulatory compliance

·         Responsible for assisting the commander in developing mission objectives and strategies and ensuring implementation for all aspects of the organization to meet the commander’s goals and objectives

·         Ensured the unit accomplished its stated mission resolving day-to-day administrative and management problems related to the operation of the unit

·         Planned, directed, and/or participated in studies and projects relating to the organization, resource utilization, logistical support, and readiness programs

·         Reviewed processes and procedures to determine effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of activities and programs in support of entire organization

·         Directed actions required to implement procedures that resulted in savings without compromising required standards of readiness, accuracy, and/or safety of unit

·         Prepared and presented briefings for unit personnel and high-ranking dignitaries

·         Responsible for ensuring all unit members were trained technically and tactically to accomplish the unit’s mission

·         Successfully led two overseas deployments to Iraq of 35 personnel and $300,000 worth of equipment ensuring the safety of all personnel and accomplishing our stated mission throughout the theater

Senior Logistics Manager July 2002 - March 2007

·         Senior logistics manager for company-sized unit

·         Responsible for developing, obligating, and executing yearly budget requirements for commander’s approval

·         Prepared and submitted contract requests for local purchase of equipment unavailable through traditional government sources

·         Utilized automated systems (ULLS-S4; PBUSE) to maintain records, accountability and readiness of over $2 million worth of unit equipment

·         Responsible for training unit supply personnel, armorers, maintainers, Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) defense personnel, and unit Purchase Card holders

·         Monitored expenditures and ensured actual expenses were within approved appropriations and all required regulations were adhered to

·         Prepared and presented briefings to leaders consisting of charts, graphs, justifications, and statistical data to accurately demonstrate financial positions

·         Led a team of 10 non-logistics trained personnel to win the Army’s 2006 Supply Excellence Award for an MTOE Unit demonstrating excellence in the logistics field

Operations and Training Supervisor July 2007 - June 2008

·         Served as Operations and Training Supervisor for 45-person unit

·         Responsible for establishing a long-range operations and training plan to ensure all required training was scheduled and accomplished without affecting mission success

·         Scheduled short-term training events, coordinated with outside agencies for support and resources

·         Maintained unit’s six week training calendar and ensured execution of all training events and missions

·         Documented and archived training statistics, prepared detailed reports for the command.

·         Prepared and presented briefings for higher echelon commanders reflecting training status of the organization

·         Responsible for supervising the operations staff to ensure all unit commitments were properly resourced, coordinated, and executed including coordination with military and civilian organizations
